Summertime, and the living is easy… or so the song goes. I don’t know about you but I’m not completely summer-ready just yet! So I thought I’d put together a few easy guidelines to help make the living a little easier this Spring and ease into the new season:
Put a spring in your step
Get those tootsies into top sandal shape with a proper pedicure. Soft pastels, bright corals or bold reds will get you going the extra mile! (Be daring and add glitter or some nail art for an edgy, on-trend look.)
Top tip: Add a gel overlay or uv polish for instantly dry, smudge- and chip proof colour on your nails & toes.
Be sun smart
We all want to feel a little sun on our skins but it’s vital to invest in a high-quality sunscreen to protect against harmful UV rays and prevent sun-damage to the skin. Over-exposure to the sun can cause a multitude of problems such as hyperpigmentation, DNA damage and skin cancer. So be sure to re-apply your sunscreen often.
Fake it till you make it
Not enough time to catch a proper tan before the first shorts come out?? Well, there is an endless supply of self-tan products available in lotion, cream, spray, mousse and wipes. In-salon spray tans are also great for a quick fix to get your summer glow! My favorite tried and tested product is Fake Bake Body Butter.
Smooth-operator
Are those legs feeling a bit dimply?? It’s always a good idea to use a cellulite cream. These creams mostly contain ingredients that help increase circulation, smooth the appearance of cellulite and also firm the skin. To increase efficiency use a body scrub regularly.
So no excuses to spring into action and take full advantage of the warmer weather and embrace all aspects that come with the new season!
