Tiffany's Tips • Spread the love this Valentine's Day
Hey hey it’s almost Valentines Day!

With a fresh year comes fresh ideas and while we all know you can never go wrong with the old faithfuls (flowers, chocolates, socks and undies) here are a few added extras to help spread the love…

The key to my heart

It is said that in the early 1500’s it was a true symbol of love when you gave that special person a key – the key to your heart. To this day many jewelers still produce lockets and keys that symbolize love for someone.

Some fantastic jewelry sites to check out for a personalized item are:

Pandora Key Lockets

Signed, sealed, delivered

Back in the 1400’s the late Saint Valentine wrote a letter to his loved one and signed it “your Valentine”. Who could’ve imagined the vast market of Valentine’s cards that would follow from then?!

My personal favourite? A hand written card.

In the digital world of today, nothing is more special than the personal touch of a hand written card.

Hint: Add a gift card or beauty treatment voucher for a couples massage or a relaxing foot treatment. Most salons offer special promotions specifically for Valentines day.

The way to a mans heart…

There’s an old Afrikaans saying, ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’.

Well… might as well try it and see if you can win his heart with a dish or two. A hearty home-cooked dinner for two by candlelight sounds fantastic – but more than likely you’ll be looking for a night off from cooking!!

There are so many restaurants offering a fabulous hearty dinner experience without getting your hands dirty.

I recommend these lovely local Bloem spots for a romantic outing:

So, there you have it. No excuse to not spread the love this Valentines Day!

We’re all a little weird and life’s a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it LOVE   Dr Seuss
