Tiffany’s Tips • My Favourite Holiday Essentials

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens; bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens…”

Mmmm, sorry Julie Andrews but it seems my list of favorite things might be slightly different to yours this year!

With the end of the year looming and just a little over a month till the December holidays I thought I’d send you off with a few of my Favorite Holiday Essentials to pack for the beach and get you all in that summer break feeling.

Here are my Favourite Beach-bag Holiday Essentials:

Ziplock bags

As demonstrated above by the ever popular Suzelle DIY, pop in 1 or 2 ziplock bags into your beach bag. These are great to store your phone and wallet in as they are waterproof and keep out the sand. It’s also great to use for a wet item and keep it from wetting everything else in your bag.

Hair ties and clips

Hair ties and clips as well as a hat are great to tame fly away strands of hair, also throw in a strengthening hair spritz that can be sprayed on to lock in moisture.

*Try one that contains placenta – these are available from Clicks.  *(I use the Kair range)

A bright beach towel and bright matching flops

A beach towel and matching flops to withstand the scorching sand is a MUST and the brighter the better!

Baby powder

The best life hack I ever learnt was – BABY POWDER! Yip this is a beach bag must-have! Sprinkle on sandy hands and simply dust off. The powder absorbs moisture and oil and the clingy sand can be wiped off easily.

Facial Spritzer and SPF

Moisture is very very important when spending an entire day on the beach, make sure you drink enough water, use a good lip balm and apply AMPLE SPF! Pour a facial toner into a spritz bottle to mist your face with or make your own by adding cucumber and a drop of lavender oil to water, refrigerate overnight for a refreshing facial spritz.

*Also try ESSEL Rejuvinating facial spritzer for added moisture available from Tiffany. It’s a girl thing.

Sunnies

And last (but not certainly not least) be FABULOUS! Throw on an oversized pair of sunglasses, stock up on some reading material and don’t forget the earphones for that FAVOURITE summer playlist!
