What’s in a name? In the case of The Social Food Club, it’s everything.

When passionate owners Jamandi Bekker (of the #LekkerBekkers – winners of MNet’s My Kitchen Rules season one) and Petri Coetzen (the Brand virtuoso behind the legendary Mystic Boer) decided to collaborate on their à la mode eatery, they decided to harness all things they love the most: good food, lekker people and creating good vibes.

Enter The Social Food Club – the eclectic Kitchen Bar on James Scott Street, where everything – from the moody black interior to the great tunes and mod staff – is aimed at adding some uber COOL edge and flavour to the Bloem burbs.

Food

Both ardent Foodies at heart, Jamandi and Petri is the spirited duo behind the fusion full-of-original-twists flavour of The Social Food Club.

Only using the very best and brightest fresh ingredients, the menu reflects an unpretentious, deliciously hearty approach to good food with dishes ranging from breakfast to gourmet pizzas, phenomenal salads, tasty tapas, moreish meat dishes and delectable desserts.

We LOVE the deconstructed Salmon Sushi, Thai Peanut Chicken Ramen Bowl and the Milktart Springrolls are an ABSOLUTE hit.

Drinks

If you’re enjoying a BREKKO (Breakfast) in the Social courtyard, start off with a proper Barista coffee by König.

Afternoons are for their famous stylish, spicy and cool VRIENGiNNE G&T’s and evenings for a lekker beer, a glass of vino or… a tequila of course!

Atmosphere

Vibey, great tunes and easygoing.

One of the coolest hangouts around, the funky staff and characterful interior – moody black walls, wooden tables, pebble courtyard, atmospheric hanging lights and pot plants everywhere – compliment the delicious menu and enhance the buzzy vibe.
