It’s no secret.
The Smart Team LOVES our brand. Smart, sassy and stylish. We live it. We breathe it… And we most certainly WEAR it.
We believe our brand is not just what we do, but HOW we do it and WHO we are.
That’s why, every year, we celebrate SMART by designing a custom Smart Team Street Style collection. Our very own gear that we, the Smartguys and Smartgirls of OFS, get to wear PROUDLY to work (and beyond 🙂)
It’s a bit like wearing our hearts on our sleeve, we suppose.
We love our gear and this year the 2019 collection is a CRACKER!
Featuring a custom (proudly South African) K-Way Puffer and 5 new original Retro-inspired T-shirt designs, we decided to showcase the range by doing a special ensemble shoot with the Smart Team on the iconic rooftop of the Loch Logan Waterfront in our home town Bloemfontein.

SMART 80’s Inspiration:
With everything 80’s being BANG on trend right now and since OFS Smart Repair was founded in 1984, we thought it wittingly fitting to do an 80’s inspired Retro look for this year’s K-Way Puffer and Smart Tees collection.
Featuring 5 NEW custom SMART designs by super talented Christo Smit of Urbanjava, we’re tipping our hats to an 80’s Nintendo classic, Star Wars reign supreme and what’s better than a lippy slogan Tee?
We’re also bringing back and adding to our ode to Bloemfontein with our take on an absolute iconic retro logo and proper old-school 80’s graphic design.

The I LOVE BFN Tee
Back by POPULAR demand!
Based on the iconic 1977 logo by graphic artist Milton Blaser, the I LOVE BFN Tee is the SMART Team’s special ode to our hometown Bloemfontein.
We know Bloem is not the biggest city in SA or have a mountain or the sea for that matter, but don’t underestimate Bloemfontein.
Bloem has some of the BEST schools in the country. We have big malls with great shopping, delicious eateries, funky cool spots and innovative businesses. We have a wonderful quality of life because we don’t have to spend it in traffic!
We’re a talented and inspiring community of people who support each other and invest in one another. For us, Bloem is a GEM and the SMART Team is truly proud to call Bloemfontein our home.

The SUPER MARIO OFS Tee
An absolute iconic 80’s Nintendo TV game, Super Mario Bros. is frequently cited as one of the greatest video games of all time. So, when we decided on an 80’s theme for this year’s Smart Tees collection, we knew we HAD to include a Mario Tee.

The Star Wars Tees
What would a tribute to the 80’s be without Star Wars?!
The epic space-opera media franchise created by George Lucas began with the eponymous 1977 film followed by two more films released in the 1980 and 1983, forming what is collectively referred to as the original trilogy.
Star Wars was (and still is) a SMASH hit and quickly became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon.
The film series expanded into other media, including television series, video games, novels, comic books, theme park attractions and many more, resulting in an all encompassing fictional universe.

The Okey dokey Tee
Of course, when it comes to something like a basic T-shirt, there’s nothing more conversation-worthy than a cool and unexpected graphic or slogan to spice up your ensemble.
Okey dokey is hands down one of our most loved 80’s sayings.
Famously used in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom released in 1984 (the very same year that OFS was founded!), we thought it aptly describes the witty personality of the Smart Team.

The Made in BFN Tee
A cheeky throw back to 80’s graphic design campaign posters, this Tee is our 2.0 version of our very popular I LOVE BFN Tee.
Supporting local is more than ‘just’ an idea or an ideal.
It’s a movement and a VERY important one at that. Building our HQ, we wanted to showcase and support the superb local talent of Bloemfontein artisans, designers, craftsmen and suppliers.
We’re very proud to be a beacon of the very best Bloemfontein has to offer and know how essential it is for our local economy that we all support one another in a meaningful and sustainable manner.

The Smart K-Way Puffer
If you’re a local in Boemfontein, you know that temperatures can quickly drop to frosty in the Free State.
That’s why with super chilly temperatures in mind, for the first time, we decided to ad a custom Puffer to the Smart Team Street Style collection.
Continuing with our SUPPORT LOCAL theme, we knew that ONLY a proudly South African K-Way jacket would do.
Founded in 1981 (80’s again!) K-Way has been leading the way in terms of innovative design, technology and environmentally friendly business practices for many years.
Manufactured right here in South Africa, K-Way down puffers are built to beat the elements.

For the OFS Puffer design, we customized our navy K-Way jackets with trendy Smart Team patch embroidery and once again proudly added the I LOVE BFN logo.
**On the back of the jacket we have the NTT Nissan logo as the Bloemfontein team of NTT collaborated with us on the Navy Smart Puffer – thanks NTT!
