The colour white is transcendent, timeless, and its versatility is unmatched. A colour that also speaks to modernity and contemporary design, white represents the beautiful sophistication that lays in simplicity. Less is more.
Dresses, shirts, tops and pants were all seen in white on the 2016 catwalks. From the runways in Paris to New York, London to Milan, it is possibly the most commonly used colour on the runway, second to black only perhaps, and looks divine in so many of the designer shows.
We saw gorgeous whites at:
- 1 Phillip Lim
- Louis Vuitton
- Alexander McQueen
- Hermes
- Celine
- Emanuel Ungaro
- Temperley London
- Issa
- Ellie Saab
The Blanc look is all about simple effortless elegance. Beautiful layers of white on white. To make this look work, keep your core items white and nude. Invest in crisp monochromatic pieces, but balance the look with a nude shoe or belt and do add a touch of glam to your all-white ensemble with rose gold and gold jewellery.
